Tshahitsi Lodge is centrally located for your travel plans to Augrabies Waterfall, Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park, Namibia and the Richtersveld. Entering Upington from Johannesburg/Olifantshoek, the 5-star lodge will be your ideal stop for a good night’s rest.

Our 18 self-catering chalets (including one chalet that is wheelchair friendly) are fully equipped, featuring air conditioning and outdoor kitchen facilities. Each chalet has a built-in braai on the porch overlooking the beautiful, landscaped garden. We have a generator, so load shedding won’t be a problem.

Tshahitsi Lodge offers the following: braai packs, ice, wood, bottled water, cool drinks, a car wash, and laundry service (wash and iron) for your convenience. Overnight bulk freezing facilities are available.

The onsite Silver Spoon Bistro serves a daily buffet breakfast offering a wide variety of culinary delights and superior coffee, in a true farm-style setting with springbok roaming the grounds.

Tshahitsi Lodge is equipped with a conference venue that offers a 5-star experience, the latest technology, luxurious furnishings and décor.

The Red Ox Steakhouse is situated in the heart of Upington, 3 km from Tshahitsi Lodge, offering breathtaking panoramic views of the Orange River. The aim is to provide the finest sustainable meals that the local market has to offer—acclaimed for vibrant local specialities and signature meat-lover’s dishes, a variety of À la carte menu options that cater for all patrons. The menu is easily paired with our hand-picked selection of wines from local producers and the Cape Winelands.

Guests can also order takeaways from Just Eat, which can be delivered at a small delivery fee.

There is a concrete path from the unit to the Silver Spoon Bistro, which is accessible by ramp.
